DataGerry 3.1.0 is live – just in time for Valentine’s Day!
For us, February 14 isn’t just a day for flowers and chocolates, but has been a fixed date for special releases for years. What began as a tradition at OpenCelium is now continuing at DataGerry: Valentine’s Day = release day. With great attention to detail and powerful innovations for your CMDB:
Automations, enhanced CI Explorer, and optimized usability: With our latest DataGerry release, we are expanding the CMDB with powerful integration and visualization features while improving usability in key areas.
The focus is on our new automations based on OpenCelium, a significantly enhanced CI Explorer, improvements to the location tree, and optimizations in the relation configuration.
THESE ARE THE NEW FEATURES OF THE DATAGERRY UPDATE 3.1.0 IN DETAIL:
Automation: Orchestrating interfaces intelligently
With this release, we are introducing a completely new feature: automations.
OpenCelium integration directly in DataGerry
Thanks to the integration of OpenCelium, interfaces can now be created and orchestrated directly within DataGerry. To achieve this, we have fully integrated OpenCelium’s proven Connection Editor into DataGerry.
This allows integrations to be configured flexibly – without changing systems.
Flexible execution of automations
Once created, automations can be executed:
• time-based (e.g., regularly via scheduler)
• manually with a click
Transparent traceability
Detailed logs are available after each execution.
Two logs are stored for each success and failure, so that the latest results remain traceable at all times.
This creates transparency and traceability and makes troubleshooting much easier.
Improved location tree: More clarity and better visualization
The location tree is the central navigation and structuring element in DataGerry. With DataGerry 3.1.0 it has been visually and functionally optimized.
Better display of long names
Locations with long names are now displayed much more clearly. The visual adjustment ensures greater clarity and better readability even with complex structures.
New search and filter function
A search and filter function has also been integrated.
This allows locations to be found quickly – even in large and deeply nested structures.
This saves time and significantly improves navigation.
CI Explorer: More context, more possibilities
The CI Explorer, which displays the visual dependencies of configuration items, has been extensively enhanced.
Relations from the location tree visible
Relations from the location tree are now also displayed in the CI Explorer.
This provides an even more complete picture of all dependencies.
New starting point via the toolbox
Previously, the CI Explorer could only be opened directly from a CI. Now it can also be started independently via the toolbox. The object to be displayed can be freely selected – for maximum flexibility in analysis.
PNG export
The CI Explorer can now be exported as a PNG file. Ideal for:
• Documentation
• Presentations
• Architecture workshops
• Consultation with specialist departments
Dynamic root change
If the root object is changed within a configuration item, the currently displayed CI is automatically adjusted. This means that the attributes of the newly selected root object are displayed immediately without having to manually reload or navigate again. This ensures a smoother analysis process.
More integration, more transparency, more efficiency
The 3.1.0 release takes DataGerry to a new level:
• Seamless integrations with OpenCelium via automations
• Greater transparency thanks to improved logging mechanisms
• Optimized navigation in the location tree
• Significantly expanded analysis functions in CI Explorer
• Intuitive relationship configuration with live preview
With these enhancements, we are strengthening DataGerry as a central, integrated, and visually powerful CMDB platform. We look forward to your feedback when you try out the new features.
